As avid fans with professional backgrounds deeply rooted in the golf industry, 54 Sports is a trusted resource with an extensive network to help you plan the perfect golf outing to entertain your most valued customers. Over the past five years, we have partnered with our clients to host more than 50 one-day golf outings at the top 100 golf courses in the country.  Ninety-six percent of these events have been fully subscribed and/or over subscribed. Through our experience, we have discovered the key elements to creating a successful event: the right market, engaging content, exclusive golf clubs, and talent and entertainment.

The Concept

As we all know, one of the biggest challenges with entertaining your top customers is getting them to dedicate time away from their hectic schedules. It is much easier to carve out a day away from the office than it is to commit to an overnight stay away from work and family obligations. These golf invitationals are designed with that in mind and can be customized based on number of participants, budget, key markets and event format.

The following agenda is an example of one approach to this type of event.

Event Results

It’s no secret that we’re passionate about golf, and we love the opportunity to handcraft client experiences around the game.  Beyond that, we enjoy creating these types of client engagement opportunities because we know it works. How? We know it works because our clients tell us it works.  Based on data collected over the past five years, we have identified the four key elements in designing an oversubscribed, successful golf outing: location, exclusivity, educational component/keynote speaker, and talent and entertainment.

Over the past five years, 95% of invitees participated in the golf segment of the event, while 100% of invitees attended the education and/or keynote component of the program.

After the event, more than half of participants surveyed said they had a better understanding of solutions and products offered by the host company.

100% of participants surveyed said they were “very satisfied” with the event.

95% of employees surveyed stated that the event met or exceeded their expectations in developing and growing client relationships. The majority of employees also expressed that their clients who attended had an improved perception of their company and had a renewed commitment to their business relationship.
